Ana Isabel Matias and Sara Dias, drama students at the Escola Superior Artística do Porto, are taking part in the Encontros de Novas Dramaturgias 2024 Festival (https://www.ccvf.pt/detail-eventos/20240318-festival-end-encontros-de-novas-dramaturgias-or-6a-edicao/), organized by Teatro Oficina, Teatro Académico Gil Vicente and Associação Penetrarte.
The END Festival is one of the most important Portuguese festivals dedicated to emerging and experimental dramaturgies, and includes the Emancipated Spectator School, in which students and teachers from various theater schools in Portugal and Spain are invited to accompany the entire festival. This year’s edition features performances and workshops by Bruno dos Reis, Francisco Louçã, Gonçalo Waddington, Lígia Soares, Patrícia Portela, Sónia Baptista and Tiago Cadete, among others.
In addition to the two students’ participation in the School for the Emancipated Spectator, the director of ESAP’s Theatre course, Jorge Palinhos, has been invited to take part in the panel on Teaching Drama, which will take place on March 20, at 11am, at the Teatro Jordão.
