ERASMUS + IS THE NEW EU 2021-2027 PROGRAM FOR EDUCATION, TRAINING, YOUTH, AND SPORT
Erasmus + started on 1 January 2014. The program replaced the previous European Commission funding programs in the areas of education, training, youth, and sport, namely: the Lifelong Learning Program, the Youth Program in Action and other international programs, including Jean Monnet and Erasmus Mundus. The Erasmus + program is designed to support education, training, youth, and sport in all sectors of lifelong learning, including higher education, vocational training, adult education, school education and youth activities.
The Erasmus+ Program 2021-2027 seeks to promote equal opportunities and access, as well as inclusion, diversity and equity, in all its actions. The new Program presents Inclusion as one of its four horizontal priorities, intending to respond to the need to give a new impetus to the Erasmus+ Programme, in order to make it reach learners with fewer opportunities.
