Artistic Residency 2025 Short Films Previewed at Entre Curtas

The short films Corrente, directed by Du Simães, Miguel Geriante, Rodrigo Basílio and Sara Falcão, and Nossa Casa, Tua Ausência, directed by Bela Garlet, were previewed as part of the Entre Curtas festival programme.

Developed within the framework of ESAP’s 2025 Artistic Residency, the films emerged from an intensive filmmaking process held in Chaves, bringing together students from the BA in Cinema and Audiovisual and the MA in Filmmaking: Cinema and Television.

The overlap between the artistic residency and the Entre Curtas festival allowed students to closely follow the festival programme, attend screenings and strengthen their connection with the professional film environment. Some participants also returned to the festival context after having already taken part in last year’s artistic residency.

The preview screening represented a particularly meaningful moment within the residency experience, highlighting the collective, experimental and immersive nature of the initiative promoted by ESAP in partnership with TEF – Teatro Experimental Flaviense
