The 2025 Artistic Residency in Chaves concluded

The 2025 Artistic Residency concluded on May 9, after a week of work held in Chaves through a partnership between ESAP and IPB. Throughout the residency, students from the Cinema and Audiovisual course produced two short films: a fiction piece shot in the village of Sanjurge, and a documentary focused on the people of the city.

Under the guidance of tutors Amarante Abramovici and Lucas Tavares, participants alternated between filming sessions, rehearsals, and engagement with the local community. The project allowed them to apply technical knowledge and gain hands-on experience in a real-world context. The closing of the residency marked the end of a process centred on audiovisual creation and connection with the territory. The initiative contributed to the artistic and professional development of the students involved.
