Tânia Dinis Honoured at Shortcutz Ovar and the Cerveira International Art Biennial

The short film Tão Pequeninas, Tinham Ar de Serem Já Crescidas, directed by filmmaker, visual artist and ESAP lecturer Tânia Dinis, has recently received distinctions at two major national events.

The film won the Best Short Film award in the official competition of Shortcutz Ovar 2025, where the jury praised its portrayal of the memories of girls forced to exchange childhood for labour through a combination of fiction, documentary, photographic archives and oral testimonies.

The film was also recognised with one of the Acquisition Awards at the Cerveira International Art Biennial, further highlighting its growing artistic and cinematic recognition.
