ESAP Students Win Awards at the Sophia Estudante

ESAP students Salvador Gil and Venância Matos were awarded at this year’s Sophia Estudante edition. Salvador Gil won first place in the Best Documentary category with Rogéria. The film tells the story of Rogéria Maia, a Romani woman who, after a life marked by hardships and discrimination, becomes a symbol of resilience and love, dedicating herself to her family and the legacy of previous generations. Venância Matos, on the other hand, was awarded third place in the Best Experimental Film category with Como Entender o Ser em 7 Etapas, a critical reflection on human behavior, approached in seven stages full of irony and exaggeration, aimed at questioning and satirizing the norms of contemporary society.
