ESAP Theater Alumni presented projects at the Maia Biennial and at Cultura em Expansão

Former ESAP Theater students Alice Guerreiro and Rita Paixão presented the performance Numa Similitude de Mim com Ele at the Maia 2025 Contemporary Art Biennial on July 3 at the Maia Forum. This performance, which took place in the relationship between the public and the space, was based on texts by Andreia C. Faria, Maria Brás Ferreira and Nuno Félix da Costa.

Alice Guerreiro also presented Mulheres em Cena, on July 16, in which the Theatre of the Oppressed technique is used to explore the lives and experiences of performers from marginalized backgrounds. This project will have a talk open to the public on July 26, at 3:30 p.m., as part of the Cultura em Expansão program. The final performance, Rebola, Feminista! takes place on September 6, exploring the hypersexualization of the female body and the iconography of male desire.
