The performance “In Body and Silence,” by Bruno Sousa, a theater student at the Porto School of Arts, has been selected to be part of the program for FITAP—the International Festival of Theater and Performing Arts.
The 11th edition of FITAP runs from May 15 to June 18 in formal and informal venues across the Portuguese-speaking world, hosting initiatives related to Research, Teaching, and Outreach, organized by the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro.
In Body and Silence is a self-portrait that explores the body as a site of inscription, containment, and relationship. The work takes silence as an ethical and political stance, rejecting the direct exposure of identity and shifting representation into the realm of shared experience.
