a.mor, by Ivo Reis, a professor on ESAP’s Cinema and Audiovisual degree course, is a video installation where two bodies meet on a digital plane, in another dimension. The idea is to explore the dimensions of love in the consciousness of material reality, virtual, in the cosmos. The digitalisation of love projects us into metaphysical feelings whose words are difficult to convey. The digitalisation of emotions in their ethereal field can be a revelation for understanding life, death and what lies between.

The dialogue between two sentient beings is the visible body of the installation, the sharing of reflections and states of consciousness that are superlative to the temporal design of life. Intimacy, bonds, union, affections, laws and permissions, in an increasingly digital, political and polarised time, between what one is free to do or not.

A reflection on love in a digital future.
