Rita Burmester works as an independent photographer mostly in the area of documental and architecture photography. From 1990 onwards she collaborated with gallery ETHER- Vale tudo menos tirar olhos, LISBOA, printing photos and between 1997 and 2009 , witn Museu de Serralves, Porto, photographing the exhibitions and the museum’s art collection. In 2013 she exhibited in the collective show “Como se fosse a primeira vez…”, Galeria Miguel Justino, Lisboa. Between 2014 and 2016 she worked on the project ONExTIME/The World Architecture for the Japanese television channel TBS. 2015 she participated in the collective exhibition “8 Espaços para 7 Olhares” , within the scope of the project Rota das Catedrais in the north of Portugal.
In 2017 she publishes the book “Soon there will be no traces”.
