Residency | Bárbara Flores

Bárbara Flores (1981, Coimbra). She completed the Master in Visual Arts, Artistic Practices and Research, at Escola Superior Artística do Porto. She graduated in Visual Arts-Photography at the same school, in 2021. She was a resident artist in the project TOMATO. Body. Work. Poverty, curated by Eduarda Neves and was holder of an Initiation to Research grant from the Centro de Estudos Arnaldo Araújo. In 2021 she participated in the collective exhibition “Guarda Sóis”, at Galeria Espaço Mira in Oporto, with a work entitled “Carta da Prisão”. With the same work, she participated in Ágora—Bienal de Arte Contemporânea da Maia, 2021. In the same year, she was part of the group exhibition “Nem noite nem dia ou como estar de frente para o relógio” — MIP-Mês da Imagem program in Porto. In 2022, she developped an internship under the “Erasmus +” program, in Berlin, with the artist Regina de Miguel. Also this year, she presented at the DÍNAMO gallery, with Alexandra Costa, the film-installation “O outro tarde”, in the MIP context.
