Lev Ilizirov. Born in Makhachkala, Republic of Dagestan, Russian Federation, 1979. Educated at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem (2003-2008) and completed a residency at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in 2009-2010, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Currently, lives and works in Paris. Lev Ilizirov works with photography, installation, and video. He uses his surroundings to reveal an abstract question in our society and contemporary existence. The collection of images contributes to the ever-growing archive as an alternative perspective. In his work, Lev Ilizirov directs his camera lens on everyday life to talk about reality as a mass, a cluster of objects as details of chaos.
