Florent Bonzon is a French and Swiss artist based in Basel. His work revolves around form, movement and significance. Oscillating between painting and sculpture, it enquires the permanence and precarity of symbols through time, and the way this dialectical dynamic shapes what comes to be named the self. Drawing from various references that are cultural, historical, or scientific, he combines elements so as to let a language emerge that aims at addressing the audience on a preverbal level, with a willingness to overcome the category of ego and take a step in the direction of the Other.
