Anselmo Canha. Degree in Communication Design – Graphic Art (University of Porto, 1984). Master in Image Design (University of Porto, 2008). PhD in Design from the same university. As a researcher, he is dedicated to the relationships between independent creative contexts – namely non-professional and experimental – and social transformation. In his master’s thesis he studied the Stop Shopping Center. His doctoral thesis chose a community radio – Rádio Manobras – as the center of a constellation of cases in the city of Porto. He co-coordinated Manobras no Porto, an intervention project in the Historic Center of Porto. He has been a professional designer since 1989, having developed work mainly in the areas of corporate identity, packaging, editorial and wayfinding. Currently, as a professional designer, he channels his activity towards wayfinding and information systems dedicated to public services and spaces, which he works as a consultant.
