“Thinking Sound” Workshop with sound designer Joana Niza Braga at ESAP

The Escola Superior Artística do Porto will host the “Thinking Sound” workshop, led by Joana Niza Braga, focusing on the use of sound as a tool in creating mood and narrative. The workshop invites participants to develop “Sound Storyboards”, based on auditory memories, ambient sounds, music, and dialogue. Each participant will work individually to compose a sound mood using sound libraries provided by the lecturer, and present their work at the end of the session. This initiative is aimed at students interested in exploring new approaches to sound in audiovisual contexts.
