International Colloquium: “Geographies of Time and Nature”
Geografias do Tempo e da Natureza [Geographies of Time and Nature] proposes a space for listening and meeting around the ways in which time and nature intertwine in contemporary thought and creative practices. Far from fixed categories, time and nature emerge as subject matter in transformation, made of rhythms, layers, tensions, and coexistences that traverse artistic gestures, modes of perception, and forms of life. From philosophy, aesthetics, ecology, and artistic practices, these dialogues interrogate different ways of thinking about time and nature, opening up to other temporalities and other ways of inhabiting the world.
With the participation of Michael Marder, João Pedro Cachopo, and Giovambattista Tusa, different geographies of time are explored – from vegetal slowness to cultural memory, from sensitive duration to histories of knowledge – calling for renewed attention to the ways in which we understand, think about, and share the world we inhabit. The presence of the Landra Collective (Sara Rodrigues and Rodrigo Camacho) and Patrícia Geraldes introduces a practical and sensitive dimension through which this reflection extends into artistic processes attentive to the territory.
