A Leoa na Cozinha | Serralves em Festa in partnership with ESAP

A LEOA NA COZINHA

Alice Guerreiro, a 3rd year Theater student at Escola Superior Artística do Porto (ESAP), presents A Leoa na Cozinha, created from the book A Confissão da Leoa by Mia Couto. In the novel, women’s rights are addressed in the context of a village in northern Mozambique. The performance questions whether, currently, in Portugal, these same rights are not also under threat and, who knows, on the “path of extinction”.
