Professors and Researchers of ESAP at the Prague Quadrennial

June, 12th to June, 16th, 2023

ESAP professors, Luísa Pinto and Jorge Palinhos, and Joaquim Gama, researcher from the Arnaldo Araújo Study Center, will participate in the Prague Quadrennial 2023, the most important event in the world on scene design.

Luísa Pinto and Joaquim Gama will participate in the PQ Flash Talks, on the 12th of June, at 2:30 pm, with a conference on Estação Primeira da Mangueira – Performative amd Decolonial Experience of the Samba School (https://pq.cz/pq-2023 -info/projects-2023/pq-talks-curated-by-barbora-prihodova/flash-talks/).

Jorge Palinhos will participate in the 36q+H40 conferences, with the communication “Elon Musk Between Actual And

Virtual Worlds: A Performance Of Experience” (https://pq.cz/pq-2023-info/projects-2023/36qh40/elon-musk-between-actual-and-virtual-worlds-a-performance-of-experience /) and in the Performance Grounds Forum of the Architecture and Theater Working Group of the International Federation for Theater Research (https://iftr.org/working-groups/theatre-architecture/performing-grounds-forum-at-pq2023)

Joaquim Gama is a doctoral candidate with a thesis on the decolonization of theatrical education. He is also an actor, director, theater teacher and researcher at the Arnaldo Araújo Study Center.

Jorge Palinhos is a writer, professor at Escola Superior Artística do Porto and researcher at the Centro de Estudos Arnaldo Araújo.

Luísa Pinto is an actress, director and PhD. She is a professor of theater at ESAP and a researcher at the Centro de Estudos Arnaldo Araújo.
