João Oliveira Duarte holds a BA in Philosophy by the University of Lisbon. He completed a MA in aesthetics at Nova University, Lisbon, where is also in the process of completing his PhD in History of Art. He was awarded an FCT scholarship and published several essays in academic publications. He writes literary criticism in several magazines and newspapers such as Colóquio-Letras and Jornal i.
