António de Sousa (Matosinhos, 1966) lives and works in Porto. He graduated in Painting from FBAUP in 1994 and has been exhibiting his work since 1993. He has presented his work in individual and collective exhibitions, such as Un Petit Artiste Engagé, Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra (CAPC), Coimbra in 2003, Uma Exposição sem Qualidades, Uma certo falta de coerência, Porto in 2008; … an endless Hubris, at the Museum of Neo-Realism, Vila Franca de Xira, in 2012, A irmã de František R., at the Sismógrafo, Porto, in 2016, and the group shows Às Artes Cidadãos, at the Serralves Museum, Porto, in 2010, Lugares de Viagem – Bienal da Maia, Fórum da Maia, 2015. His work is represented in the collection of the Serralves Foundation, in the Ivo Martins collection, in the collection of the Museum of Neo-Realism, in the collection of the CAPC (Centre for Contemporary Art of Coimbra) and in the CACE (State Contemporary Art Collection).
