The Post-graduation in Film Production aims to train students to work in the various stages of the production of a film project, from development to distribution, with a strong practical component that reflects the demands of the current market. Students will develop skills to perform various roles, namely in Executive Production, Line Production and Production Management.
The practical component of the course is a central pillar, providing students with the opportunity to work on real projects, where they can apply the knowledge acquired in the management of all phases of audiovisual production. This experience is further enriched by the possibility of interacting with experienced professionals in the various areas of production, allowing solid networks to be established. In addition to the defined academic staff, students will have the opportunity to participate in regular seminars with invited professionals – producers, distributors, cultural managers, among others. The goal is for students to be exposed to a wide range of visions and a broad spectrum of production models – from DIY to big-budget co-productions.
Furthermore, training at ESAP is not limited to the development of technical and managerial skills, but also promotes critical reflection on the role of audiovisual production in the contemporary context. Students are encouraged to question the social and cultural implications of audiovisual production and to adopt creative approaches to face the challenges and new demands of the sector. The combination of technical skills, critical vision and the stimulation of creativity prepares students to lead the production of film projects through innovative approaches adapted to the contemporary needs of the medium.

Through the Olive Trees (1994), directed by Abbas Kiarostami.
